Biography of Dawn Matthews
Dawn Matthews was born and raised in Southwest Ohio. She attended Edison State College in Piqua, Ohio, where she earned an
Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts. She later attended Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio, earning a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Business Management. Dawn further added to her educational endeavors by studying Education at Wright State
University in Dayton, Ohio.

She used her Masters of Education as a catalyst for her desire to earn a doctorate degree. Dawn continued her
education at Wright State University completing all but a thesis for an Educational Specialist degree in Higher
Education Administration.
Dawn has worked in a variety of fields including education, commercial banking, human resources, and massage therapy. She also
served on numerous boards while living in Ohio including serving on the Piqua City School Board of Education, the Tri-County Board
of Recovery and Mental Health Services, the Downtown Piqua Design Review Board and the Piqua YWCA. Dawn felt it was important to be
an active part of the community in which she lived.
Before moving to Florida in 2006, Dawn taught massage therapy in Dayton, Ohio. She felt the need to learn more about alternative health
care and focused her attentions on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dawn moved to Florida to attend the Florida College of Integrative Medicine
in Orlando. With her parents living down the street, Dawn made the decision to remain in Florida to be near them.

Dawn is a cum laude graduate of the Florida College of Integrative Medicine and is currently licensed to practice Traditional Chinese
Medicine and Acupoint Injection Therapy in Florida. She is currently studying Functional Medicine to gain knowledge and the tools
necessary to effectively treat her patients by treating the root cause of disease and disharmony.
