My first encounter with Web Design was in September of 1996. Earlier that year I had moved away from all known friends and family to start a new life in Pompano Beach, Florida. So when I experienced some medical complications that left me unable to work for the years that followed I didn't have much of a local social circle and turned to my computer. Soon after my daughter, Megan, discovered and purchased a game called Creatures 2 at a local Comp USA. It was the very first simulated virtual life game for the PC I had ever encountered and we played it together continuously. As time passed we got more involved in the online community and joined Geocities and the Creatures Developers Network under the alias "Celeste Fireclan" with the intention of making our very own Creatures 2 website, which was later titled Celeste's Creatures2 World Wide Network. At that time Geocities had an HTML editor that allowed it's members to use templates to create a very quick and simple site, however the sites created were very generic in nature and had a cookie cutter appearance.

In an attempt to add some uniqueness to our site, I obtained a book called SAMS Learn HTML in 24 hours. I spent the next month learning what I could from the book and then eventually tossed it aside and began "viewing the source" of other unique pages around the Internet. That's when Celeste's Creatures2 World Wide Network began to take shape. Until recently what I knew about Web Design I learned from the trial and error of putting together that site and a Webkinz site I hosted in 2006 - 2007. However last semester I had a chance to update that knowledge base by taking a class in Web Design at a not-so-local community college. The C2 World Wide Network still exists in a dilapidated form because in 2003 the sites password was cracked and the site was hijacked.

Today I live on the West Central Gulf Coast of Florida with my husband, five children, 3 dogs, a menagerie of various reptiles and Loki, Echo and Phoenix our ferrets. Two of my children also attend community college but neither of them share my passion for Web Design. One has intentions of pursuing a medical career while the other has an interest in mental health. The youngest boy will be making the move into middle school this September and the twins are fighting hard to complete the second grade. The twins have a variety of medical issues and that's where Blu comes in. Blu our three year old Blue American Pit Bull Terrier is undergoing training for disability service. She is in the beginning stages of her training but is making great progress. On the other hand our Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Jada, is much more of a fun loving pet and national disaster area. Though small in size this little girl can redecorate a room in mere minutes if she doesn't feel she's getting enough attention.
