Hit points are highly important because they tell you how healthy your character is. A character who reaches 0 hit points has died, but will reappear at the designated respawn location which
in Free-To-Play is Lumbridge. When a players character dies they retain the three most valuable items on their person at the time of their death. The loss will not only include everything the
player may be carrying in their backpack but also the armor and weapons that the character is wearing at the time of their demise.
Hitpoints Display: Wizard Fight
The Hit Points bar (health bar) appears over a characters head when ever they enter into a combat situation. The green portion of the bar shows your remaining health and the red portion shows how
much health you have lost. To avoid death you will need to heal one of the fastest and most efficient ways for a FTP player to heal themselves is to eat food. Each food item heals a different amount
so it is of significant importance to learn the health properties of food that is readily available.
If you enter into battle and find that you are loosing you have the option to flee the situation, you can accomplish this by clicking the ground and moving swiftly by enabling "run". Your attacker will
most likely pursue you in an attempt to continue the attack, however if you are far enough away most NPC's (Non Player Characters) will give up the chase allowing you to seek refuge and acquire the
necessary items to heal your character and replenish your stores of food.
